Networking Events

To ensure I pass my semester, I needed to go to 3 networking events. It was part of our Preparatory Asessment. Networking is important in our industry for making connections and recieving contacts for the future.

Sothampton Business B2B Expo

This event was good due to being able to join talks as and when you choose. We went with our lecturers so it meant we could walk around together and more confidently. We were also able to talk to various stands including design and marketing companies and I handed out my business cards to a few brands for future contacts. Below is my evidence of attending the event and freebees I collected.

How to Start your own Social Enterprise

I found this event on Eventbrite and it took place at Action, Winchester. This networking event was more of a seminar/talk which was insightful as I was able to build on my idea for my Business Plan. I was then able to share my idea with other people and gain further ideas from strangers.

Start-up stories: taking the leap into self employment

I found this event again on Eventbrite. It took place in Cheltenham which is near my home town hosted by NR Social. It's mission is to supoort, help and inspire small and start up businesses and entrepreneurs. We recieved talks from 'The Indian Guy', 'The Outdoor Inn' and 'NR Social' itself. After the inspiring talks we were able to have a discussion due to there being only 10 people that attended. This was great as I was able to ask them questions.
