Networking Events Semester 2

To ensure I pass my second semester, I needed to go to 3 networking events. It was part of our Preparatory Asessment. Networking is important in our industry for making connections and recieving contacts for the future. Unfortunatley due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we all got put into lockdown. Therefore, we were not able to attend any further events, and only managed to go to two.

IBM Open Day

This event was really cool as IBM is such a big company with lots on offer. Eventhough I did not feel I made any connections while being there, it was still good to see how a big company operates and certain technology that has been created in that building. Pictures are shown below.

Modern Tate Museum Trip

This wasn't necesarily a networking event but the lecturers still allowed it to count towards our Asessment. The Tate museum was incredibily big, with lots to see and do. It was more art based than digital, however, this is good for graphic design purposes especially typography elements. Pictures are shown below.

Transmedia 2020

This was a super unfortunate event we missed, due to the coronavirus outbreak. The Transmedia show is an event, ran by the DMD (us), that happens every year to showcase our work. At the event we would of pitched our business ideas to a panel, and gathered great experince but also feedback on our idea.
